Annual visit to Pantomime for Nelson’s Journey children

Wednesday, January 14, 2015

For the fifth year running we hosted a party at the Theatre Royal where 33 children were treated to a tea party with the cast and stars of the show followed by watching the Pantomime which this year was Peter Pan.

The Practice arranges and funds this visit as an alternative to sending corporate Christmas cards and we are extremely grateful to the Theatre Royal for the enthusiastic reception that the children receive from both the stars of the show and also the staff who go out of their way to ensure that the children have a lovely evening.

The Leeds Building Society also donate goodie bags for the children to take away on the evening and we believe that this is one of the most heart-warming events that we put on in our busy social calendar each year.

Nelson’s Journey helps children who have suffered with bereavement in some form or another and are at a very vulnerable position in their young lives and it is wonderful to put a smile upon their faces all be it for only a few hours to help them through this difficult period. The work that Nelson’s Journey does to help these children is amazing and their staff are totally committed to the children’s welfare.
