Busy Summer for Litigation Team

Friday, September 5, 2014

It has been a busy summer for our litigation team.

Phil Kerridge successfully secured an injunction in the High Court for a national company to prevent  one of its Trademarks being infringed. The injunction was obtained quickly to protect our client’s rights  and reputation.

Peter Hastings successfully completed two claims against Banks for the mis-selling of Hedge Products, with the team’s recovery  for its clients who have been mis-sold products now approaching £2 million.

Peter has also been instructed on a number of claims against HMRC and UK Border Force including the challenge of assessments, advising on the correct Tariff Codes for various imported products ,  detentions and seizures, including a seizure of goods valued at circa €850,000.00.

The teams has also been instructed on a number of construction adjudications as its practice continues to grow.

Phil comments ” We have the experience, skills and resource to act for clients quickly to protect their interests. We have had a busy and successful summer for our clients and expect to see a busy few months ahead with a number of final hearings approaching, including a hearing  on a leading case lead by Peter in the Administrative Court which is also linked to a case to be heard in the Supreme Court”.
