Following the Annual Rogers & Norton Charity Golf Day on September 13th we are delighted to announce that to celebrate our 15th year of support for this excellent Charity, we were able to raise the grand sum of £8916.00 from the event which is a record sum raised from a single golf day for us. This figure will mean that the Practice has raised well in excess of £60,000 over the 15 years.
The day was held at Bawburgh Golf Club when 108 golfers enjoyed a pleasant day’s golf followed by a dinner, raffle and auction in the evening. The day was rounded off by the prize giving when the team event was won by Jim Durrant and his team, representing Oriental Rugs. The individual trophy was claimed by Craig Lockwood with 38 stableford points off a handicap of 6.
Graham Knights, Practice Manager of Rogers & Norton and Ambassador for the Charity commented “The day is only successful due to the invaluable support of local Companies and individuals, Golf Clubs around the Country and the guests who turn up to play on the day and we are indebted to them for their continued loyalty. This day is a classic example of people rallying around to help those less fortunate than themselves which is brilliant. The money raised will hopefully help in a small way towards making the lives of those affected by this terrible disease a little better with the fantastic work that Macmillan do”.
