Years of hard work brings state of the art medical practice to Norwich

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Richard Etheridge paid a visit to the new, state of the art Lionwood Medical practice in Wellesley Road, to find out what it looked like after the years of hard work helping to bring it to fruition.

He has been acting for the partners of the former Yare Valley Medical Practice since the late 1990’s and worked tirelessly with Business Manager Lyn Bostan over a four year period to bring the dream to reality. The project suffered delays due to changes in NHS funding and strategy, it was only their joint tenacity and drive that kept the plans on track.

The complicated transaction involved dealing, to a large degree, with the retirement of existing partners and the recruitment of new ones, together with the lease agreement and its ancillary documents.

The sale of the two existing surgeries and the coordination of the surrender of a pharmacy lease, together with the establishment of interim leases, made the process a long and complex transaction.

The surgery boasts many new facilities which will enable the partners to provide many additional services, including a theatre to undertake small operations, seminar and training rooms and the ability to offer a travel vaccine clinic.

Richard commented “At times the delays and frustrations seemed destined to stall the transaction completely, but with Lyn and me working closely together and continually looking at ways to overcome the obstacles in our way, we achieved our goal of the superb new surgery”.

“We are specialists in this sector and understand the complexities and pressures the medical profession is facing. We are able to advise and act for Doctors, General Practice Surgeries on all issues, especially having acted for GP Practices for many years”.
