Rogers and Norton are delighted to announce a joint scheme with Age UK Norfolk supporting older people in Norfolk who are thinking of moving, downsizing or contemplating a move into a retirement home, with specialist legal services.
Business Development Consultant Graham Roberts explains “Moving home can be a daunting and stressful prospect, whatever age you are, but it can be compounded if you have lived in your home for many years and it’s filled with so many memories, not to mention untold possessions. It’s important to have the peace of mind and reassurance that Age UK Norfolk, with the backing and full support of Rogers & Norton, will provide the necessary information, advice and practical support to guide clients through the relocation and can help to ease some of that anxiety.
Our specialist lawyers, who will be personally responsible for helping, will arrange an initial home visit to introduce themselves, to explain what is going to happen and why. They can also explain what forms need to be completed and help fill them in if required, together with providing weekly updates on the progress of the transaction”.
Steve Clarke who heads the conveyancing team in Norwich comments “The team are acutely aware of how difficult the upheaval can be when moving home in later life. We thought we could help alleviate the stress involved by offering a bespoke service to Age UK Norfolk and the older people they support.
We’ve produced a timetable of what a home mover needs to do and when, together with a change of address checklist, to help guide our clients through the transaction. There are a considerable number of actions that have to be carefully planned to help the move flow smoothly, we want to be able to support clients through the process by maintaining clear and prompt communication channels.”
Rogers & Norton have one of the busiest residential conveyancing teams in Norfolk, based in Norwich and Attleborough. Our experienced and knowledgeable teams have the skill sets to deal with a wide variety of transactions from land purchase and new build through to sales and purchases and equity release. The team works closely with our private client department who can provide advice on Wills, trusts and Lasting powers of Attorneys.
