Laura Rumsey – Dementia Friends Champion!
As Rogers & Norton is a Dementia Friendly Company, our staff have undertaken instruction to gain an understanding of the impact that living with Dementia has on people. Having completed my information session, I wanted to investigate how I could learn more about the illness and to try and help raise the profile in Norwich and the surrounding area.
We are part of The Norwich City Dementia Action Alliance, which is made up of organisations who are passionate about raising the profile of Dementia in the city and want to make Norwich a more inclusive and friendly city for those people living with dementia and their families.
Being a Dementia Champion enables me to deliver workshops to our staff, clients and companies in the area, so they are able to become Dementia Friends too. I have also been asked by Dementia Friends to deliver information sessions for anyone who requests details in the Norwich area.
