New Year, New You: Secure Your Future with a Lasting Power of Attorney

Each new year, we collectively aspire to transform into improved versions of ourselves. New Year’s Resolutions are enthusiastically crafted, typically aimed at health, well-being and personal development, yet often abandoned within a mere few months. Make it your New Year’s Resolution to obtain a Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) if you haven’t already. Setting this goal can be a proactive and responsible step in ensuring your future well-being and decision-making autonomy.

LPAs are crucial legal documents that grant someone the authority to make decisions on your behalf when you are no longer able to make those decisions for yourself due to mental or physical incapacity. LPAs provide individuals with control over their future and protect their interests in the event of incapacity. They offer peace of mind, maintain personal autonomy, and help avoid potential legal complications and family disputes.

Starting from January 2nd through to March 29th 2024, Rogers & Norton Solicitors are offering a 20% discount on our LPA fees*. In addition to this discount, we are committed to making a meaningful impact in our community. For each LPA appointment during this period, we will make a £50 donation to Priscilla Bacon Hospice, one of our charity partners.

Discounted LPA fees:

Single:

  • Health and Welfare OR Property and Financial Affairs £360 + VAT
  • Health and Welfare AND Property and Financial Affairs £560 + VAT

Couple:

  • Health and Welfare OR Property and Financial Affairs £560 + VAT
  • Health and Welfare AND Property and Financial Affairs £800 + VAT

Preparing for the future may feel daunting but the team at Rogers & Norton can help if you’re considering putting a LPA in place. We can discuss your options and go through the documents with you. Once signed by all parties concerned, the LPA is sent to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration. The Office of the Public Guardian charge a fee of £82 for each registration unless you qualify for exemption.
