Ride London
Riding the longer 100 mile sportive was my goal for this year and I have been fortunate enough to secure a place through Global’s charity – Make Some Noise.
Make Some Noise are the charity of the Global group of radio stations – and give a voice to small projects supporting disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. They raise the awareness of these deserving smaller charities, shine a light upon them and also provide invaluable support to those charities by organizing masterclasses to help them with future fund raising activities.
The 100 mile challenge in part follows the route of the 46 mile ride but incorporates the testing climbs at Leith Hill and Box Hill in Surrey, both of which formed part of the 2012 Olympic Road race.
Prudential RideLondon is the world’s greatest festival of cycling, established in 2013. The sixth edition will take place over the weekend of 28-29 July 2018.
