Laura is Director and Head of the Private Client team advising clients across our Norwich and Dereham Office.

Background, Qualifications and Areas of Practice and Expertise

I am a Solicitor and am based across both our Norwich and Dereham Offices assisting clients across Norfolk. I qualified as a Solicitor in 2016, having attended the University of Warwick to complete a Law Degree before completing the Legal Practice Course at BPP Cambridge. I completed my training contract in 2016 at Rogers & Norton Solicitors, having initially joined the practice in 2013.

I advise on a wide range of private client work, focussing on wills, probate, powers of attorney and court of protection work alongside administering trusts. I manage the affairs of a number of clients who are unable to do so themselves either through lacking mental capacity or needing assistance with their finances.

I am a full member of STEP and having specialised in advising vulnerable clients am well placed to be appointed as Deputy, Attorney or Trustee on behalf of clients where the circumstances are appropriate. I am also a full member of lifetime lawyers and regularly volunteer for Alzheimer’s Society delivering dementia sessions to colleagues, contacts and members of the public.

In January 2026, I was appointed as a Panel Deputy by the Office of the Public Guardian. This role is held by a limited number of experienced professionals nationally and reflects a high level of expertise in Court of Protection matters. As a Panel Deputy, I manage the financial affairs of individuals who lack mental capacity and have no suitable family members or friend able to act for them, including complex and sensitive cases.
