I studied at Woodbridge School, De Monfort University and qualified as a Legal Executive in 1993 before qualifying as a Solicitor in 2001. I joined Rogers & Norton Solicitors in April 2010 and have been with the firm for 14 years.
I am a Commercial Litigation Specialist with over 20 years of experience as a Solicitor. In this time, I have been recognised as an expert and leader in my field. Throughout my career, I have covered many specialisms, including claims involving regulatory bodies (FCA, etc), construction claims, business claims, defamation, director and shareholder agreements, employment law including covenants, insolvency claims, IP and trademark disputes, judicial review, local council and political disputes and proceeds of crime and fraud.
In recent years, I have successfully managed an increase in HMRC and Border Force cases for both local and international clients. I am also very experienced in High Court and County Court claims, Court of Appeal, first tier tax tribunal and upper tax tribunal, construction adjudication, mediation, arbitration (including International arbitration), County Court and High Court injunctions and advocacy and Court of Appeal. I am a full member of The Society of Construction Law.

- Advising and issuing High Court proceedings for the sum of £1.5 billion pounds relating to issues of Libor interest.
- Turkish Food Supplies Limited v The Commissioners for HMRC [2025] UKFTT 496 (TC) - Successful appeal for our client on alleged undervaluation of import duty.
- Lecaille v National Parking Enforcement Ltd [2025] EWHC 2281 (Ch) - Secured successful unfair prejudice petition on grounds of extreme personal behaviour.
- Achieved £1.3m restoration of high value goods for our client.
- Advising Nestle on imports/exports.
- Anglian Windows Limited v Anglian Roofline Limited [2014] EWHC 4204 (IPEC) – a successful interim injunction application in the IPEC in relation to trade mark infringement and passing off.
- E v S (ICC 2013) Instructed for Claimant in ICC arbitration concerning an operating agreement for a Guinea Gold Mine, in which both parties alleged that the other was in repudiatory breach, resulting in a substantial claim for damages and defending a counterclaim. Arbitration settled shortly before substantive hearing. Arbitral Tribunal: John Marrin QC, Joe Smouha QC, Sir Gordon Langley.
- White Digital Media v Weaver [2013] EWHC 1681: Acting for a defendant to defeat an application to enforce post-termination restraints.

- Successfully obtaining a High Court injunction on behalf of Anglian Windows Limited in relation to a breach of confidential information and securing the protection of its database.
- Acting for an American company and disputing a £1.2m VAT assessment.
- Successful defence of a High Court Defamation claim, resolved on an expedited basis.
- Acting for a purchaser of a business on a warranty claim arising on the purchase, value £2.8m.
- Achieving a fantastic result for a Swiss Company securing the release of goods and a reduction on penalty.
- Selectron-UK Ltd v Revenue and Customs (Excise Duty Restoration of Goods).
- CITES REGULATIONS – no import certificate – goods seized – whether refusal to restore was unreasonable – yes – appeal allowed
