Construction and Property 2023 Review Seminar


On Tuesday 12th December, Rogers & Norton’s specialist Construction Team delivered a construction seminar at The Forum in Norwich, aimed at developers, employers, contractors, landlords, architects, surveyors, suppliers, estate agents and those providing professional services to the construction sector.

During the seminar Director Peter Hastings explored contentious legal issues that have emerged in the construction and property industry over the past 12 months, covered the latest case law and key developments arising from recent court judgements and highlighted what to expect in 2024 within the construction industry.

Senior Associate Elizabeth Gibson covered the latest updates on The UK Building Safety Act 2022 (BSA) and delved into the intricate details of The Building (Higher-Risk Buildings Procedures) (England) Regulations 2023. Throughout the presentation, Elizabeth highlighted a number of key points to consider including enforcement, liability for the cost of building safety measures, provision of building safety information to tenants and liability for the cost of remediation works.
