LPA Initiative Benefits Norfolk Families and Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity
Rogers & Norton Solicitors is delighted to announce the successful conclusion of its 2026 Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) campaign, which encouraged more people across Norfolk to put essential future planning arrangements in place while generating a ยฃ2,300 donation for Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.
Running between February and April 2026, the campaign offered clients a 20% discount on LPA fees and included a pledge to donate ยฃ50 to the charity for every LPA appointment arranged during the promotional period.
The initiative generated 46 appointments across the firm’s Norwich, Attleborough and Dereham offices, resulting in a ยฃ2,300 donation to support the vital work of Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity. The campaign also provided an opportunity for dozens of individuals and families to gain peace of mind by putting important arrangements in place should they ever lose the ability to make decisions for themselves.
Laura Rumsey, Director and Head of Wills, Trusts & Probate at Rogers & Norton, said: “Once again, we have been overwhelmed by the response to our LPA campaign. While we’re incredibly proud to be making a ยฃ2,300 donation to Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, one of the most rewarding aspects of the campaign has been helping so many people take positive steps to protect themselves and their loved ones for the future.
Many people understand the importance of making a Will, but LPAs are often overlooked until a crisis occurs. Through this campaign, we’ve been able to raise awareness of just how important these documents are and help more people put arrangements in place before they are needed.”
A Lasting Power of Attorney allows an individual to appoint someone they trust to make decisions on their behalf should they lose mental capacity in the future. Without an LPA, loved ones may face significant delays, costs and complications when trying to manage a person’s affairs.
The campaign forms part of Rogers & Norton’s ongoing support for Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity, which provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care services to patients and families across Norfolk.
Laura added: “Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity continues to make a tremendous difference to people facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances. We are proud to support their work and would like to thank everyone who took part in the campaign. By arranging an LPA, clients have not only invested in their own future planning but have also helped support an organisation that provides invaluable care and support within our local community.”
The firm has now run the campaign for three consecutive years, helping hundreds of individuals and families put LPAs in place while raising thousands of pounds for Priscilla Bacon Hospice Charity.
