Rogers & Norton continues to strengthen leadership team with new Director appointment
Rogers & Norton Solicitors is delighted to announce the appointment of Ryan Bigland as Director, marking another important step in the continued development of our leadership team and strengthening our Commercial Property offering.
Ryan joined Rogers & Norton in March 2026 as Senior Solicitor and Head of Commercial Property, bringing with him extensive experience advising businesses, property owners, investors and developers on a wide range of commercial property matters. His appointment as Director reflects the contribution he has made to the firm since joining, as well as our continued commitment to investing in experienced legal professionals who can support the long-term growth of the business.
Having qualified as a Solicitor in 2015, Ryan has spent his legal career specialising in commercial property, working for a number of local and regional law firms. His experience covers a broad range of commercial property transactions, with a particular focus on providing practical, commercially minded advice that takes into account the individual circumstances and objectives of each client.

As Head of Commercial Property, Ryan oversees the department and works closely with colleagues across our Corporate and Commercial, Litigation and Employment teams to provide a joined-up approach to the legal needs of businesses and property clients. His appointment to the Board will see him take on further responsibility for the strategic direction and continued development of Rogers & Norton, alongside his existing role within the Commercial Property team.
Ryan’s appointment also follows the retirement of long serving Managing Director Bruce Faulkner, who retired on Friday 30th October after 35 years with Rogers & Norton. Having joined the firm in 1991, Bruce played a significant role in its development over more than three decades, and his contribution to both the business and its clients has been considerable. His retirement marks the end of an important chapter in the firm’s history as we continue to build on the foundations he helped establish.
Ryan’s appointment forms part of our wider commitment to strengthening the firm’s leadership structure and ensures we are well positioned to meet the changing needs of our clients. Following a number of senior appointments and changes to our leadership team earlier this year, we remain focused on developing our legal services, supporting the progression of our people and maintaining the high standards of client care on which Rogers & Norton has built its reputation.
Newly appointed Managing Director Steven Clarke said: ‘‘Ryan has made a very positive contribution to Rogers & Norton since joining us earlier this year, and we’re delighted to welcome him to the Board. He brings considerable experience, strong commercial awareness and a clear understanding of what our clients need from their lawyer. His appointment is thoroughly deserved, and we’re looking forward to working with him as we continue to develop the firm and strengthen our commercial services.“
With offices in Norwich, Attleborough and Dereham, and an increasing presence in London, Rogers & Norton continues to provide a comprehensive range of legal services to individuals and businesses across Norfolk, the eastern region and nationally. Ryan’s appointment further strengthens our leadership team as we look ahead to the future and continue to invest in the people and expertise needed to support our clients.
