The 2019 Legal 500 rankings have recently been published – they are the universally acknowledged, independent performance guide for UK Law firms. Rogers & Norton continue to be recognised as one the leading Law firms in East Anglia.
We are delighted that both Bruce Faulkner & Maria Taylor have continued to be noted on the elite leading lawyer list and very pleased to have been highlighted in the twelve practice areas we put forward, illustrating the depth of service and expertise we offer our clients across a broad range of specialities.
The Corporate & Commercial team headed by Richard Etheridge have been praised for response times, industry knowledge, appropriateness of advice and value for money.
The team were praised for very good specialist knowledge in the medical sector, with Richard’s strong GP sector knowledge specifically highlighted.
The Commercial Property department are noted for being absolutely superb and for their very thorough, knowledgeable and professional approach. Practice head Bruce Faulkner is handling a growing caseload of development work and Legal Executive Yvonne Benner was noted as possessing a massive breadth of knowledge together with being exceptionally customer-centric.
Bruce Faulkner continues to be highlighted as a leading Licensing lawyer, whose experience encompasses all types of licensing work and is regularly recommended by local law firms that do not have their own licensing specialists.
The Dispute Resolution team are very good indeed and always respond promptly, whilst demonstrating great commercial awareness and value for money. Key partners include expert commercial litigator Peter Hastings and Consultant Phil Kerridge. The firm is seeing a growing flow of work from HMRC, which includes cases arising from duty on imported goods seized at the UK border.

Specialist legal executive Maria Taylor in the Debt Recovery team continues to be highlighted as a leading individual offering valued advice. The firm receives bulk instructions from a national finance company including general litigation, together with handling debt collection for a national home improvement company.
Peter Hastings who has very good experience in contentious insolvency and a sharp mind, also handles insolvency matters as part of his broader commercial litigation practice.
Employment Law consultant Phil Kerridge, commands a significant client base among the local business community in the region and frequently acts for employers in cases of unfair dismissal, particularly those relating to age discrimination.
The Personal Injury team offer good quality service and is very knowledgeable, gives great advice and responds quickly to questions. Practice co-head Mark Hambling is sound, professional and personable. Tim Nobbs, who jointly runs the personal injury and legal expenses practice, is always available and always explains everything that is happening in a way that is understandable.
Tim Nobbs in the Clinical Negligence team handles a significant volume of multi-track cases and is able to provide advice on both low and high value claims.
The Matrimonial team is led by Kerry Rowell, who is recommended for financial matters, shows tenacity and a good attention to detail. Averil Ballam in Attleborough, who manages the firm’s relationship with Norfolk Constabulary, provides specialist family law advice to police officers, is also highly recommended.
